The Jim Cordts Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2015 by family members and friends as a way to remember and honor Jim Cordts, a former Madison High School educator and coach. This scholarship was endowed in December, 2015. Jim passed away at his home under hospice care on November 5, 2014. Among his many achievements, Cordts was named the South Dakota High School Coaches' Association's Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year in 1982.
This scholarship will be awarded to a MHS senior who has participated in cross country and/or track and field, who has demonstrated good character, leadership, community service and generosity--all traits that Jim Cordts embodied.
